Why Viber Notifications
Viber is one of the most popular messaging apps in Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. If you or your clients use Viber daily, receiving booking notifications there means you never miss a meeting — alerts arrive instantly alongside your regular messages.
How It Works
Meetario uses the Viber Bot API to deliver notifications. Your account admin creates a Viber bot (via Viber Admin Panel), configures it in Meetario, and each team member connects by messaging the bot.
Step 1: Create a Viber Bot
- Go to partners.viber.com and sign in with your Viber account.
- Click Create Bot Account.
- Enter a name (e.g., "Meetario Notifications"), upload an avatar, and set a category.
- Once created, you receive an Authentication Token — a long string. Copy it.
Step 2: Configure in Meetario
- Go to
/app/integrationsand find the Viber card. - Click Connect, paste the bot token, and save.
- Meetario registers a webhook with the Viber API and verifies the token.
Step 3: Connect Your Viber Account
- Go to
/app/integrationsand click Connect Viber. - You will see a QR code or a deep link. Open it on your phone — it opens the Viber chat with the bot.
- Tap Start or send any message. The bot confirms the connection.
What You Receive
- New booking — event name, date/time, guest name, and meeting link.
- Cancellation — which booking was cancelled and by whom.
- Reminder — upcoming meeting alert with a join link.
Team Usage
Each team member connects their own Viber account to the shared bot. They only receive notifications for bookings assigned to them.
Troubleshooting
- If you do not receive messages, make sure you sent a message to the bot first — Viber bots cannot initiate conversations.
- Check that the bot token in Meetario matches the one from the Viber Admin Panel.
- Ensure the bot is not suspended in the Viber Admin Panel.
