Why Webex + Meetario
Cisco Webex is widely used in enterprise environments. By connecting Webex to Meetario, a unique Webex meeting link is automatically created for each booking — no manual setup. Guests receive the Webex join link in their confirmation email, and you get it in your notification.
How It Works
Meetario connects to Webex using a Bot Access Token that you create in the Webex Developer Portal. When someone books a meeting, Meetario calls the Webex API to create a meeting room and attaches the join URL to the event.
Step 1: Create a Webex Bot
- Go to developer.webex.com/my-apps and sign in.
- Click Create a New App → Create a Bot.
- Fill in a name (e.g., "Meetario") and a username, then click Add Bot.
- Copy the Bot Access Token — this is shown only once, so save it securely.
Step 2: Connect in Meetario
- Go to
/app/integrationsand find the Webex card. - Click Connect and paste your Bot Access Token.
- Click Save & Connect.
Step 2: Set Webex as Your Location
- Go to your event type settings.
- Under Location, select Webex Meeting.
- Save the event type. All new bookings for this event type will automatically include a Webex meeting link.
What Happens on Booking
When a guest books a meeting:
- Meetario creates a Webex meeting with the correct date, time, and duration.
- The Webex join URL is attached to the event and included in the confirmation email.
- If the booking is cancelled, the Webex meeting is automatically deleted.
Troubleshooting
- If the connection fails, ensure your Webex account has the right license for creating meetings (a free Webex account works).
- If meeting links stop being created, your Bot token may have been revoked. Create a new bot or regenerate the token, then reconnect in Meetario.
- Check that your event type location is set to Webex — other location types will not trigger Webex meeting creation.
