How to Sync Apple Calendar (iCloud) with Meetario

Why Apple Calendar + Meetario

If you use Apple Calendar (iCloud Calendar) on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad, connecting it to Meetario keeps your schedule in sync. Confirmed bookings automatically appear in Apple Calendar, and Meetario checks your existing events to prevent double-bookings.

How It Works

Apple Calendar uses the CalDAV protocol — an open standard for calendar synchronization. Meetario connects to your iCloud CalDAV server using an app-specific password, so your main Apple ID password is never stored.

Step 1: Generate an App-Specific Password

  • Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
  • Under Security (or App-Specific Passwords), click Generate Password.
  • Enter a label like "Meetario" and click Create.
  • Copy the generated password (e.g., abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop).

Note: You must have two-factor authentication enabled on your Apple ID to generate app-specific passwords.

Step 2: Connect in Meetario

  • Go to /app/integrations and find Apple Calendar.
  • Click Connect and enter your Apple ID email and the app-specific password.
  • Meetario verifies the connection by accessing your CalDAV calendars.
  • Select which calendar to sync bookings to (e.g., "Home", "Work").

What Gets Synced

  • New Meetario bookings are created as events in your Apple Calendar.
  • Cancelled bookings are removed from Apple Calendar.
  • Meetario reads your existing Apple Calendar events when computing available time slots, so guests cannot book times when you are busy.

Troubleshooting

  • If the connection fails, double-check your Apple ID email and the app-specific password. Regular passwords do not work.
  • Ensure two-factor authentication is enabled on your Apple ID.
  • If events are not appearing, check that you selected the correct calendar during setup.
